Foreign Language Academy Reviews

I am the mother of a three-year-old preschool student. He is absolutely thriving at this school. It is a real pick-me-up when I come into the school and everyone is welcoming and knows who I am (as Mesan's Mom) I not only get hugs from my little guy, but from about 5 or 6 other pre-k students as well. He not only loves school, but absolutely loves the LINC staff and activities that he is involved in. I am really looking forward to my son becoming bilingual.

I feel Foriegn Language Academy has a safe environment that allows a student to grow academically and socially. My grandson is in fourth grade and he's academic learning in reading and math meet state standards. This Pricinpal provides support in all areas that engages the students and parents.

F.L.A even has a self contained gifted class -which I am in .This year I had the best teacher I've ever had by far and she has taught our class so much, but she operates differently. She doesn't just say,'It's time for' this and that ,she teaches things like not in a schedule .She usually goes on trips with her class like skiing on a Saturday, but she can't do that with this class. Our Acuity scores were 83 and 13 over 20,but she made us figure that out.The school is overall great especially the idea of the Eagles Club and Eagle Eyes.

This school does a great job navigating our school board. A free second language. K-8th grade. It's a great public school.

I have two students at FLA, 5th and 8th grades. We are extremely pleased with FLA. My children have excelled in their academics and are bilingual. They will leave middle school with college language credits. And are prepared to learn a third language in high school. Their opportunities for a career are limitless. I would highly recommend this school to anyone looking to place their child in a wonderful and challenging learning environment.

Im an 8th grader at FLA I've been attending this school since kindergarten and I'm kind of sad to see my time come to an end here. The teachers are very helpful the students are the nicest people you will probably ever meet, so tell you're friends, family who ever this school is where it's at.

I believe this is one of the best schools that I have ever attended and it has taught me alot. F.L.A is a very high educated school that teaches the students the right quality of work that should be taught. I really do recomend this school for you to send your chld to, not only will your child/ren get the education that they deserve they will also have high quality teachers to look after them.

I think that the school is good but teachers at foreign language academy are to strict and that some of the teachers are to bossy to the student. They give them to much work and they try to do it but the teachers give them to much to work on at home and i kind of hate the school.

this school is not a good school at all. I would not recommend your child to go here. there are constant fights they have no discipline matters and the students there are so vulgar and the teachers have no control of the students what so ever.

I recommend for students to go to this school. Because I think that it is a great school for kids to learn a differtent language and if they already know it, they have classes for them. Like when I went there, i took classes for spanish. they have spanish or french classes to take. But i really do recommend kids to start their education here at Foreign Language Academy.

I was at FLA when the school opened up to K-8 and I was able to witness the school blossom so marvelously. I'm very appreciative of my parents sending me to a magnet school such as this because I feel that I have a strong advantage in the world being completely fluent in Spanish (and English.) Now that I'm in High School,I'm continuing to take spanish classes, but I see how much higher of a level I'm entering at compared to the other students. I actually feel that I'm about as knowledgeable as the teacher is! And all of the kudos goes to FLA. I loved the staff there, as well as the students. Not only is FLA a great school for bilingual education, but it is filled with a warm environment that is open to everyone. Diversity is all around and so is love for lanuages and love for life!

The first of our three children is preparing to enter first grade at FLA, after an outstanding kindergarten year. We are delighted that we chose this academically-challenging learning experience for our child (and that we've found such a diverse and fun community of other families). Our son finished last year soundly able to read and write in Spanish, and his pronunciation is wonderfully authentic. He enjoyed access to a great gifted program and looks forward to taking part in several of the many extracurricular activities the school offers as he gets older. While our family has the means to send our children to private schools, we are deeply committed to the principal of public education. After hearing all the bad news about our district, those beliefs were certainly put to the test. However, our research into public options led us to select this school, and that decision has been richly rewarded.

This school is a great school the ability for students to learn spanish and french is great I attended the school my 6, 7 and 8th year and it was great the school helped me prepare for high school and the teachers were there to guide me the security guards were even there when students need help everyone combines in the school the source of the acclerated reading program is wonderful. This would be a great school to send your child to. The school is even a k-8th school so both your kids in elementary and middle school can attend. This is the best k-8th school in the district.

This full immersion Spanish school is a great place for kids to learn. I have two children in the program and their abilities in Spanish are impressive. I wouldn't trade this school for anytthing!
