They will leave middle school with college language credits. And are prepared to learn a third language in high school. Their opportunities for a career are limitless. Because I think that it is a great school for kids to learn a differtent language and if they already know it, they have classes for them. Like when I went there, i took classes for spanish. they have spanish or french classes to take. I'm very appreciative of my parents sending me to a magnet school such as this because I feel that I have a strong advantage in the world being completely fluent in Spanish (and English.) Now that I'm in High School,I'm continuing to take spanish classes, but I see how much higher of a level I'm entering at compared to the other students. I actually feel that I'm about as knowledgeable as the teacher is! And all of the kudos goes to FLA. I loved the staff there, as well as the students. Not only is FLA a great school for bilingual education, but it is filled with a warm environment that is open to everyone. We are delighted that we chose this academically-challenging learning experience for our child (and that we've found such a diverse and fun community of other families). Our son finished last year soundly able to read and write in Spanish, and his pronunciation is wonderfully authentic. He enjoyed access to a great gifted program and looks forward to taking part in several of the many extracurricular activities the school offers as he gets older. While our family has the means to send our children to private schools, we are deeply committed to the principal of public education. After hearing all the bad news about our district, those beliefs were certainly put to the test. However, our research into public options led us to select this school, and that decision has been richly rewarded.” Posted By: former student Quality Score: 5 2004-08-19 “This school is a great school the ability for students to learn spanish and french is great I attended the school my 6, 7 and 8th year and it was great the school helped me prepare for high school and the teachers were there to guide me the security guards were even there when students need help everyone combines in the school the source of the acclerated reading program is wonderful. This would be a great school to send your child to. The school is even a k-8th school so both your kids in elementary and middle school can attend.
