Apache Elementary School Reviews

My son is in his second year at Apache (he is in the 1st grade) and I just wanted to say how amazing the entire staff is. His KG teacher was very attentive and always took time out of her day to address any of our concerns, and he can't say enough about how much he loves his teacher this year. It seems like all of the children who come to school genuinely love it and are excited to be there. They have wonderful programs geared toward the inexperienced AND experienced parents, and work closely with every child and family to ensure that they are doing their best. If parents ever have an issue, they are welcome to talk to anyone about it, and do not have to fear that they may be looked down upon or ridiculed. Also, the student population is very ethnically diverse, which is a godsend inJoCo!

My husband and I are foster parents and haev recently enrolled our second sibling group at Apache. I can't say enough about the great teachers, staff and principal at Apache. Our kids can often be very challenging and everyone works so hard to make certain that they feel comforatble and do their best.

My child is in one of the Special Ed classes the district offers. His improvement from his previous school is almost 1000%. He has gone from last year being severely depressed about his school habits and self worth, to being on one of the honor roll all four quarters at Apache. The Special Ed program is phenominal.

Apache is a wonderful school with many of the teachers having >10 years experience teaching. The principal takes a personal interest in the students and is always visible from drop-off in the morning to pick-up at night. The PTA does an excellent job with many parents involved, not just one tiny group doing all the work like the school my child previously attended. It is not the most wealthy school in Johnson County but I am really amazed at the quality of both the teachers and the principal.
