Wm A White Elementary School Reviews

Mr. Jones is an excellent principal and I wish him the best and pray that he continues in his efforts to help W.A.W in the journey to excellence. However, if parental involvement and test scores are low, nothing the state will ever implement will work until parents recognize their power and responsibility in their childs education. Increased parental involvement will bring the extracurricular activities some are looking for it should also increase our students test scores.

This school has gone so far downhill that it's barely recognizable. So many teachers have left that 75% of the staff is new. Academic programs are falling apart and they don't even have a student resource team, let alone extracurricular activities.

Things have changed. Staff morale has dropped, as have test scores. Very few parents are involved in the PTA.

This school has a new principal who is one of the best I have ever worked with. Mr. Michael Jones visits all the classrooms, plays football at recess, sweeps in the cafeteria, gives pizza parties to the classrooms, dinners for parents and trophys for the honor roll. Mr. Jones is one in a million. We need more principals like this man! He is definitely involved with his students and staff. He arrives early and stays late every day.
