Delta Woods Middle School Reviews

awsome school! i just so happen to go there and it has some nice teachers and some not so nice but what eilse makes up a school but teachers?

Im a student there and i was new in 7th when i got there on that first day i got so lost .but the people there r nice well mostly..alough the classes r really boring and the clubs arnt really exciting most of the teachers r mean.but ether then that its a good school

Dwms is the best teachers r the nicest part!

I am now a sophomore at Blue Springs High School, but I attended Delta Woods from 6th-8th grade. Coming into middle school I had no idea what to expect. Yeah, you hear all these stories about 8th grade bullies, mean teachers, and annoying rumors but this was the complete opposite. Now don't get me wrong, sixth grade was a lot more seclusive and there were plenty of cliques, but overall the people were nice and accepting. As you enter 7th and 8th you will notice your peers will become less accepting. I'm not saying that everyone is like this, but by this time many kids belong to a group or clique and they make it hard for others to fit in especially if you're new. Great choices of electives and very nice teachers/staff. Also, because of it's location, there is little to no drug use or violence.

I am a student at DWMS and I do like most of the classes but I wish that there was more team to team interaction. we only see other teams during explo. hours and brakes in between classes when our classes over lap. all of the exploration class teachers are very good educators and relate to the students very well. over all it is a very well ran facility.

This acually coming from a student and all i have to say is that Delya Woods is the best Middle School you could ask for. The teachers are wonderful and nice and help you if you need help. Also if You don't understand something then you can go in early to get some help on it. The teachers won't mind at all. But this school is not dirty or groos. We even have an police officer that is at the school during the school hours and we have school cameras that are outside and inside so are school is very safe there is no doubt about that. But i hope that new people come to Delta because we love getting them. The kids are nice and every one are friends and we don't really have any clicks.

I have been very happy with the learning environment at Delta Woods. My 2nd child is now in the 6th grade at Delta Woods and his transition from elementary to middle school was made very easy by the friendly and helpful staff. The school is designed intelligently to separate the 3 grades for their core classes, integrating them somewhat for their exploratory classes. This creates a sense of security, I believe, for the new 6th graders. There are many intramural sports for the 6th and 7th grades, and school sports for the 8th graders. Parental involvement is excellent with a very strong PTSA. I have been very happy with the teaching staff while my daughter was here and also now that my son is here.

The academic programs at the middle school are second to none. Our extracurricular activities have coaches that provide the students with positive and enriched extended day. My concerns come with parent involvement. Does the school really want parents to be a part of the school? I don't feel the welcome, I would like to. I only hope this will change in the years to come.

I have a student in this school. MOst of the time I love this school. I do think though that on the last week they should still learn instead of watching movies.
