Maple Park Middle School Reviews

My last review was written quite a while ago, and the school has not been so good. The principal is unfair. My team gets treated like the bad team. Privileges are taken away unfairly. The 8th grade dance? Nope. It's being held by parents, and the school has nothing to do with it. It's so dumb! I'm ready for high school. The volleyball team's uniforms are old, and theyre like basketball jerseys! The basketball team got new jerseys, but not volleyball.

Excellent School!!! The teaching staff is absolutely amazing! They really care about the students and their safety. If my children could go there for high school as well it would be perfect.

This school has excellent leadership. They set each child up to succeed and with a bit of commitment from everyone - they do succeed!

this school needs to learn the differance between what the students know and what they should know. They should also learn to help the students who have trouble learning understand what they are doing instead of just giving foul grades.

I am now a Junior at Clinton Senior High School in Clinton, MO and I went to Maple Park during my 6th and 7th grade. The principal that we had then was horrible becuase everytime someone got in trouble he always sent us to the assistant. There was a program called Homework Help that was okay. I always went to FNL with my boyfriend but never ended up staying because we were not even allowed to hold hands without getting in trouble. My 7th grade Language Arts teacher was real rude with me but when I told her no about something she had a fit and sent me to the principal.

I am a seventh grade student at Maple Park Middle School! In sixth grade on my first day, of course I was a little nervous. But then after a few days of getting used to it, it was so fun and exciting! The entire staff there is so helpful and considerate. The students are very respectful. If not the teachers get right to it. The programs at Maple Park are great. They have cheerleading, cross country, volleyball, if you want to help with the year book you can, there is band and orchestra. And my favorite . . . Friday Night Live! FNL is an after school program usually from 7-9 pm. There are three a year. Each of them have a theme. There is dancing, music, snacks, games, sometimes movies, etc. FNL is great for hanging out with your friends. Go Maple Park Vikings! -Lyndsey Soetaert

I think that Maple Park is a very good school! They really help you be prepared for middle school, and understand that you may be nervous. I am going to be a sixth grader this year, and right now I am in Camp Viking. They totally prepare us! We learn our locker combination, our schedule, and everything! I think that they have it well organized. And I think they have more to offer than elementary school. You can ALWAYS talk to a counselor, and the counselors understand all of your problems. And they have peer helpers, which can help you with social and acadmeic problems. They are seventh and eighth graders, and have been here for a few years, so they totally understand! I think that it is best to come to a school where they understand you, and realllly help you to be prepared!

This school does not keep parents involved in their child academic preformance. It does not have the resorces for children who need help. They rather pass the child to the next grade than help the child pass the year. They punish children for failure in academic by putting them in ISS.
