We have been making a lot of changes to make it a better and safer place for our students. We just received our MAP scores and we have improved tremendously. So we are headed in the right direction. The violence in our school has also decreased tremendously. Students are growing up in a bad environment so when they get older they think what they are doing now is right. They will end up not learning anything except violents and bad language. The things I've seeen are students slamming doors on teacher, bad lauguage towards adults and other students, peer pressure not to excel to higher levels, put downs, over crowded gyms and occational fighting, spitting on teacher, breaking blue ice backs and smearing on teachers back, ditching, stealing from lockers or dress room, changing grades due to parent pressure, lack of aerobic participation, sports program loss to other higher star districts, spraying aersol in teachers face, children threatening to sue if injured during participation, thin kids are made fun of along with different color tones of the skin (carmel, chocolate, vanilla.) Some really good teachers!
