Artist Bio
Rachel Mindrup is a professional artist and illustrator working in Omaha, NE and Kansas City, MO, who exhibits both regionally and nationally. After graduating with a BFA from the University of Nebraska-Kearney, Ms. Mindrup continued her education at the Loveland Academy of Fine Art and the Los Angeles Academy of Art. Her studies include drawing and illustration under the instruction of Glenn Vilppu, Tony Ryder, and Mark Westermoe and painting under the instruction of David Leffel and Serge Michaels.
Ms. Mindrup's client list includes: Kiewit Corporation, Girls and Boys Town, Creighton University, Walgreens Corporation, Boys Town National Research Hospital, Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, Clarkson College and Miller Brewing Company. Her artwork is held in private collections such as that of Primatologist Jane Goodall and Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. She has also illustrated numerous children's books through various publishing companies. Currently, she is teaching art at the Kansas City Art Institute as well as the Joslyn Art Museum.
